O.K. I know this is totally late but I have to write a little something in memory of my sweet, sweet dad! We kind of fell behind blogging because every moment I had recently I was trying to spend with my dad but now I have no excuses.(except baseball) Anyway, my dad had been sick now for some time it has been a rough few years. He went to heaven March 19, 2008. It seems strange to exist on this earth without him here. He has been my best friend (besides my husband) my whole life. Thanks to everyone’s help and patience, especially my kids and husband, we had some really nice last moments together that I will treasure for a life time. I will miss him so much! I love you dad!
Pat did an awesome slide show of his life memories. Here are just a few. This is my dad on the left as a little boy.
This is my handsome dad with the shades in the navy.
My dad was always silly and so much fun! Here he and his brother's being silly at a reunion. Those brother's have so many fun stories.
Just a picture of my dad my bother and I in the 70's.
Baysia lost her first tooth the night before my dad died. We had a sleep over at the hospice home with him. All the nurses were so cute with her. Baysia thought it was so exciting like a hotel. She was in a very chatty mood because of her excitement of having a sleepover and loosing her 1st tooth. I overheard her telling my dad how great he was doing and that pretty soon he would wake up and be in heaven. She was telling him how beautiful it would be there and how he could play basketball again. She told him to not leave tonight though because the tooth fairy was coming and he didn't want to miss her. I really think Baysia has a special gift with the elderly. She is not afraid to rub their heads and feed them and hold their hands. She was so sweet with her grandpa she sang songs and combed his hair. I am so proud of her and her sweet heart. I truly believe she helped my dad transition into the next life easier and more peacefully. This is one of my most precious life memories.

Snow 08
We had some fun snow adventures this year! We took a couple of ski trips with the kids, a little sledding and built a pretty cool snowman. It's fun to see the kids advance in skiing. I just love day trips when we can just hang out together!
Breakfast at Baysia's
On Feb. 15th we had a pancake and pajama party for Baysia… “Breakfast at Baysia’s.” It was just for her kindergarten girls in her class. The girls arrived and got some $ to do some jewelry shopping for tiara’s, bracelets, necklaces, and rings as if they were at Tiffany’s. They then indulged in some yummy heart shaped pancake breakfast, provided by grandma Fran. They made some edible jewelry and then had a surprised guest. The girls’ kindergarten teacher came and read some Fancy Nancy books. It was so sweet of their teacher to take time on her day off to surprise the girls. I didn’t get really great pictures to show how cute it was but the girls had so much fun, especially Baysia!
